Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a gay wedding?
This is just a wedding and we hope you will have a great time. If you think you will feel uncomfortable at the wedding, please consider not attending. We want the celebration to be inclusive and positive for everyone present. If this is your first time going to a wedding for an lgbtq+ couple and you feel unprepared, take a look at some of these:

Will there be a COVID-19 vaccination requirement?
We will be requiring all guests to be up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for everyone’s well-being—especially older and immuno-compromised guests in attendance.
Where is the wedding in relation to Waikiki hotels?
The wedding will be held outdoors at The Nutridge Estate in Honolulu. If you’re coming from the hotels in Waikiki, the drive should be approximately 18-35 minutes depending on traffic.
Will transportation be provided to the wedding venue?
Shuttles with limited seating will be provided to and from a designated location in Waikiki. More details will be provided closer to the wedding date for those who signed up.
What’s the weather like in September?
As an example, the forecast last September 3, 2021 was partly cloudy with a high of 88ºF/31ºC and a low of 81ºF/27ºC. Dress accordingly!
What is the dress code?
Let’s call it “Tropical evening wear.” Something nice that you can stay cool in is good for us. That means you can wear some dressed up shorts if you’d like. We definitely DO NOT expect people to be dressed formal or semi-formal (suit, tie, long-sleeve dress shirt, long dresses, etc.) unless you really want to, then knock yourselves out.
Are there pre-wedding day events for guests?
Yes. Please sign-up in our events section. Event sign-ups will close 15 days before the wedding. More details will be provided to those who signed-up as we get closer to each event.
Is there a wedding registry?
We do not have an official registry set up because we are just happy that you are joining us for our celebration. If you still wish to give us a gift, we will gratefully accept any contributions toward our new lives together.
Are kids allowed at the wedding?
Kids 12 years and older are able to attend our wedding. With the exception of our ring bearer, we will have to make this an almost child-free celebration due to limited seating because of the venue’s COVID restrictions.
